Tamar Forrest obtained her BA in Psychology from The Ohio State University, her MA from Boston College in Counseling Psychology, and her Ph.D. from The Ohio State University in Geography.

Her skillsets include evaluation, strategic planning, convening and developing faculty workgroups, cultivating relationships with potential agency, non-profit and private sector partners, and securing funding for program delivery to meet identified needs.  Forrest is an accomplished grant writer and published author with over 11 years of management experience and departmental support in higher education, non-profit, and social service programs, including service delivery operations and directing teams.  Prior to joining the UTC, she worked as an Associate Director within the Centers for Innovation at The Ohio State University.  Forrest also has over 9 years experience teaching in the departments of Geography and Sociology at OSU, including courses on world regional geography, globalization, urbanization, and political and economic geography.

As Program Manager of the CrIS UTC, Forrest assists with the coordination of the UTC and reporting to sponsors.  She acts as a liaison to faculty and partner organizations, and supports the Center Director and partners with the development of grant proposals and publications, monitoring expenses and tracking and reporting progress.  Forrest participates in research activities and the development and implementation of seminar topics, and, in particular, has been actively involved within the areas of “Technology Transfer and Policy” and “Education, Workplace Development, and Diversity”.
